Nearing the End

Here’s some of what I was doing during the Olympics. Does not contain Olympics:

Going to the End of the Line - This was promoted on the home page. Exciting, and a reusable framework for semi-intelligent sliding photo tiles. The code allows for (but isn’t currently in use for this project) squares to dynamically expand to show additional content + caption, while other squares flow back around to fill the resulting gaps.

Going down the Road, Vermont Edition - I did the audio editing on this one.

How Design Can Save Democracy - Another hack on mapper, this time to compare two elements rather than navigate a single one. (Also behind the scenes: automated combining of multiple maps with dynamic tabs).

In New Orleans, One School Begins and Another Ends - Quick video project for two HD videos in a new template size. At one point we completely scrapped the existing solution when requirements changed.

City Visible: The Daily Show - A very quick project indeed. Video with dropdowns.

Ancient Midwest Road Trip - Quick hack of the mapper to allow extended text nodes.
